Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the uses of cefixime and ofloxacin?

Therefore, cefixime-ofloxacin is a safe, effective, and dependable therapy choice for doctors to treat uncomplicated typhoid in the Indian community context in the current period of growing antibiotic resistance.

2. What negative consequences can ofloxacin and cefixime have?

Ans - Some typical adverse effects of CEFIXIME+OFLOXACIN include nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, loose stools, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Some of these adverse effects, however, go away on their own and don't need to be treated by a doctor.

3. Cefixime: effective against stomach infections?

Ans - Cefixime is useful in treating gastroenteritis in young children caused by Salmonella and Shigella species that are resistant to common antibiotics like amoxicillin and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (where quinolone drugs are contraindicated).

4. Who should not take cefixime?

Ans - If you are allergic to cefixime or other related antibiotics like Ceftin, Cefzil, Keflex, Omnicef, and others, you shouldn't take cefixime. If you have a penicillin allergy, let your doctor know.
